The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the notification for the SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2026 on its official website. This massive recruitment drive is being conducted to fill approximately 12,256 vacancies in various ministries, departments, and government offices across India.
The online application process for SSC CGL 2026 started on 21 May 2026, and eligible candidates can submit their application forms until 22 June 2026 through the official SSC portal. Candidates preparing for central government jobs are advised to complete the registration process before the last date to avoid any last-minute issues.
As per the official notification, the minimum age required to apply is 18 years, while the maximum age limit is 32 years as on 01 August 2026. However, age relaxation will be applicable for reserved category candidates according to government rules and regulations.

SSC CGL 2026 : Education Qualification
- All Other Post :- Candidates who have successfully completed their Graduation or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university will be eligible to apply for the SSC CGL Examination 2026.
- Junior Statistical Officer :- For certain posts, applicants must have secured at least 60% marks in Mathematics at the 12th standard level along with a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream. Candidates possessing a Graduation Degree with Statistics as one of the subjects will also be eligible for specific SSC CGL posts.
